Reddit Community Funds Program: r/NASCAR

In 2022, Reddit wanted to foster more opportunities for connection by making Community Funds official, with $1 million in funding. Community Funds aligns with Reddit’s mission of bringing community, belonging, and empowerment to everyone in the world. Reddit believes that empowering communities to do more by awarding funds to support their best ideas is one way we can accomplish this.

r/NASCAR was one of the accepted ideas. With Reddit’s help, this community was able to sponsor a car! They were able to design the car and print 1,400 of their community members’ names on Ryan Vargas’ racecar. Ryan also hosted an AMA leading up to the race, and the community has continued to brainstorm ways to come together around their love of NASCAR.
